Listen to General Conference April 4 & 5

Monday 12 January 2015

What a blessed week we have had! Truly the hand of the Lord has been apart of our work. On Tuesday with our appointment with Tony and Sarah we read the whole chapter of Mosiah 5 and it was by divine inspiration that that would be the lesson. We invited them both at the end of the lesson to be baptized and although it took Tony a few minutes to come up with an answer... THEY BOTH SAID YES! Sarah took like 10 seconds before she said yes but Tony studied it out before he answered and he said, "ya why not" trust me it sounds a lot more glorious when you hear it in person! They will be getting baptized on the 24th of January right before Tony has to go back to Oklahoma to do some training for work. They are literally the most prepared family ever. Seriously. Tony knows more about the church then most church members i swear. We have talked about a lot of deep stuff like: the Adam god theory, kolob, other worlds.... it has been fun. On Friday we had a return appointment with a lady named Carrie. We tracted into Carrie before christmas and we finally found a time that would work for her. We had a great first lesson where we answered some question and taught the restoration. We invited her to be baptized and although she did not say yes i have full confidence that she will accept in the future. After we had the lesson we knew that she had a heep of dishes stacked up in her kitchen... so we offered to do her dishes and I'm not lying it took almost 2 hours to get through all of it. It was pretty bad. But She really appreciated it. She recently had gone through a divorce and we could tell that she needed the help. She said that she will attend church with us next sunday and we have another appointment with her on wednesday. Also that missionary corner thing is pretty weird... you could at least put it in my room... somewhere where nobody has to look at it when they come in. Its just looks like a shrine thats all. I know that you miss me and all and i miss you to but its just a little much in my opinion. I always feel like there is a bunch more stuff I could be writing you but I just can't think of anything. Elder Shurtleff hasn't gotten to trunky yet... which is good. Everywhere we go someone always brings up the subject of going home. I can only imagine what it must be like. I'm kinda scared for when i get to that point. But our area is becoming really blessed right now. We have a lot of people that we are teaching and everything is just moving in the right direction! Love ya!

Elder Long
