Wow Hello Family! I Dont have a ton of time so i will try to put in as much as i can.
So we Landed in Minneapolis at about 1215 Minnesota time. The Mission president was there to greet us. there were 11 missionaries total on the flight. I sat next to a guy named Vince from Saskatoon! So that was cool that i got to sit next to a fellow Canadian. And i met a lot of people at the MTC so I dont remember an Elder Roberts. But im sure he is just great! I cant send pictures right now but the trees here are amazing!! like 3 different colors in one tree. its crazy.
My Companion Is Elder Shurtleff from Murphy, Idaho. He is a really awesome missionary and super obedient. I have knocked on a lot of doors and have had some success in that. not a lot though. Elder Foggin is going to thunder bay i think? still havent seen him. hopefully i will. But i have learned SO much being out in the field. you can only learn so much in the MTC. once you get to the field everything totally changes. I am still struggling with just talking to everyone but its something im working on. Its good to hear that everything is going good back home! And if i have any words of spiritual goodness its GET READY FOR THE SECOND COMING. Dont freak out about but just try and live as righteously as possible ok :) thanks.
I got my bike put together just fine. i have been riding it a lot already. Its a pretty good bike. I'll try and send pictures next week of everything. There is definitely an accent here too! And a LOT of religious people. unfortunately most of them arent mormon haha. A lot of Lutheran ( they say it like Luthern here) and Catholics. And yes i am working out in the mornings. And im not lying. Even tho the work out i get from biking is very fulfilling. I have learned things about the gospel and church history that i never new before. its really cool. Also Elder Shurtleff has lost 40 pounds on his mission! crazy right? super awesome. My goal is just to stay under 200.
. Its good to hear from everyone back home. Always appreciate it. Also could you send me a Canada flag, scarf, pictures of family, and warm socks, preferably the t max heat ones from marks, and some more pairs of shorts and shirts of mine. Just send it to the mission home office address. Also my ward mission leaders wife is from Eureka Montana.. Cool Eh? been through there a few times. Its pretty similar to Canada here weather wise. So ya i guess that just about does it. Love you and talk to you next week!
